Companies often post a range in terms of what they are willing to pay for the consulting services they seek, whether it is hourly, monthly or per project, but often they request a fee proposal in a pitch. Because The Second Shift is a marketplace there is a lot of room for final negotiation and the fees can vary greatly based on the consultant’s skillset, expertise, and experience level. 


Consultants negotiate directly with the company to work out the fees and payment structure i.e.: are you paid your consulting fees on an hourly basis and what is the agreed upon number of hours before you send an invoice? We process all payments and deduct a 5% fee before sending along your fees either by check or direct deposit.
